Keeping in Touch
A Vision Fulfilled
We are delighted to announce that after nearly 3 years of planning, interrupted by the pandemic restrictions, we have opened our Revive Community Café at St John’s Methodist Church, Victoria Avenue Bloxwich. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00am untill 2.00pm
Our vision to create a community café has been made possible thanks to generous donations from the Veolia Environmental Trust, The National Lottery Community Fund, Methodist Insurance Company Ltd, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District of the Methodist Church, and many other donators and fund raisers. We are grateful to everyone for their support.
We opened our brand new facilities with an on Saturday 2nd October when the café was officially opened by David Frost. CBE. Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands and Councillor Rose Burley, the Mayor of Walsall.
As the café develops we hope it will be a busy welcoming inclusive space for all. Also we have formed a liaison with the local college to welcome students for work experience and possible employment. We have appointed a Café Manager, but as we are anticipating that the cafe will become busy at certain times we are looking to volunteers to support the café manager, to help supervise students and to welcome and talk to people attending the café.
